Different from digital x-rays, intraoral cameras are tiny cameras that provide images of a patient’s mouth during dental procedures.

Intraoral cameras send high-resolution images to a computer monitor during the exam. Dr. Welsh & Associates are able to zoom in on these images to uncover problem areas such as fractures, open margins and caries.

Through providing images on a screen during a procedure, Dr. Welsh & Associates are able to actively involve our patients in their treatment process. We take time to teach the patient through the discovery of problem areas and describe treatment options.
